I was pleased to be able to use the services of Nick and Stuart several times over the past few years commemorating Lincolnshire in the Great War. They entertained and informed the crowd throughout the weekend with displays and talks, and brought horses back to our old barracks for the first time in 100 years. I would have them here every weekend.
I was the originator and organiser of a First World War commemoration at the 2015 Herefordshire Country Fair. In this role I involved Nick Pennock and Stuart Oden-Walder to provide suitable re-enactment and arena support. They sourced suitable mounts for the cavalry and was able lay on an impressive demonstration with eight horses and riders. In association with the ‘Lest We Forget’ replica Mk 4 tank, they set up a tented camp to display Period weaponry as well a supplying infantry support for the arena display. I can safely say that without their contribution we would have struggled to mount such a crowd-pleasing event.
I have had the opportunity to be involved with Stuart and Nick on many occasions over the last twenty years, their energy and enthusiasm for what they do never ceases to amaze me. They have the ability to make the public feel completely at ease and are as engaging as they are knowledgeable. Stuart has an attention to detail that is second to none and they both pride their selves in the authenticity that they bring to any show they are asked to partake in. You only need to look at some of the photographs on this site to understand just how good they are.
